“ If you’re looking for a relaxed photography experience that focuses on connection and fun over frozen “cheese faces”, you’ve come to the right spot!”
Pricing: You must pay for our lowest collection (Collection A $800) before your shoot. $300 reserves the date on our calendar and is non-refudable. The other $500 is due the day before the shoot. You will have a chance to upgrade your collection through your online gallery.
Your online gallery will have between 50 and 150 edited photos from your portrait shoot for you to select from.
STEP 1: SCHEDULING YOUR SESSION
If we haven't already, the easiest way to compare calendars is a phone call. Over the phone, I can also guide you to an ideal time and backdrop for your vision. I have lived in Charleston for over 25 years, and I know it well.
Email works too, but there can be a lot of back and forth - once we find a date, booking is 100% online and takes just a few minutes.
STEP 2: PREPARING FOR THE SHOOT
As soon as the contract is signed and the deposit is collected, you will receive an email with my Portrait Prep Guide. The Guide has tips on dressing and what to bring and not to bring.
Weather Policy
We will call you the day before your session to check in and confirm the location and weather. In the warmer months, it rains a lot in Charleston. The good news is the rain does not last long. The coastal winds push storms through fast. A rainy forecast usually means great lighting or dramatic sunrises and sunsets.
We are happy to reschedule if needed. Usually, we reschedule for the next day.
STEP3: THE FUN PART!
The shoot. We will be at your session on time with our gear tuned and ready. We will talk with you, laugh with you, walk a bit, and capture you and your beautiful family in a relaxed way that focuses on connection and emotion.
STEP 4: THE REVEAL
Within three weeks of your session, you'll receive an email letting you know that your photos are ready.
Take a look at the video for an inside look at my signature gallery delivery process.

STEP 5: TIME TO SHOP
What you're going to do with your images is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when you're planning for a photo session, but it's all too often the aspect that's overlooked... all that time and money invested deserve a better return than photos gathering dust on a hard drive somewhere. You'll never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or flipping through the pages of an album
12x18 $543
20x24 $824
10x10 $900
12x12 $1000

“We booked Kate to take some family photos with my husband’s family, while we were visiting the area for Thanksgiving. Kate was great to work with and was even flexible when the weather for our original date wasn’t ideal. We were able to re-schedule for the following day with much better weather. We loved how Kate utilized multiple backgrounds for photos, giving us tons of options. She was great at directing us where to stand, how to pose etc and the delivery of our gallery was prompt even with the busy time of year. Would absolutely recommend working with her and we hope we can use her services again some day.”
“Hands down the best photographer. Our family was visiting from Seattle and Kate took our photos one evening. We had little ones that didn’t wanna cooperate for the photos. Kate was kind and patient. Our family was blown away when we got our pictures back. These are pictures that I will cherish forever. Kate is truly amazing at what she does!!”
“Our family of 8 adults and one infant vacationed in Isle of Palms in early October. Kate met us at our rental house and took photos at the house, en route to the beach and on the beach. Working with Kate was easy and fun. She was wonderful with our littlest family member. The photos are incredible! We are so happy with them. The coloring is beautiful. She captured our family so well. She was wonderful to work with from booking through delivery of our photos. We highly recommend Kate and would use her again if we are in the area.”
