Meet Larry! He has been my right-hand man for the past five years.

Larry is a Charleston native his family has lived in the area for generations. He started at Captured by Kate as an intern in 2019 and has been my second wedding photographer, an assistant on numerous portrait and lifestyle shoots, he is my office assistant, and now an associate photographer!

He graduated with a degree in Photography in March of 2022 from Trident Technical College. He is currently working on a second major in videography. Larry is always smiling and fun to be around. He is also great with kids and dogs!

Hi, I’m Kate!

I have been a full-time professional photographer for over 20 years! My style of photography is photojournalistic and much more candid and “in the moment” than a traditional photographer.  

I graduated from the College of Charleston in 2000. Traveled the world for a few years and settled back in Charleston, South Carolina in 2004.

I live on James Island with my husband, Chris, our three girls, Claire, Mary Spencer, and Sadie, and our labradoodle, Ace. We love spending time at the beach, on a boat, planning our next vacation, and having family movie nights.

I have photographed weddings all over the South Carolina area. I’ve also been lucky enough to photograph weddings in

The Bahamas, US Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands, North Carolina, Virginia, New York, Texas
